New year, new inspiration. The tinsel is back in the loft and January’s frosty breath is rattling the windows, but there’s no need to hibernate just yet. We’ve brewed up a smashing new batch of workshops to blow away those post-holiday cobwebs and get your creative juices flowing once more. Whether you’re looking to organize your memories or just fancy a proper natter over a glue gun, we’ve got you covered!
Kick off the year by giving those precious thoughts a home. Join Jackie on the 20th for a brilliant Introduction into Scrapbooking, Memory Books and Junk Journaling—you even get a starter kit to keep the momentum going at home! If you’re after something a bit more meditative to soothe the soul, sink into some quiet time with Susan for a Slow Stitch Square (20th) or join Carol on the 28th to master the mindful knots of a trendy Macrame Plant Hanger.
Our ‘Create & Connect’ sessions are also in full swing for the general workshops. You can whip up a stylish Felt and Bead Brooch with Jackie (27th) or join Mel on the 29th to turn humble corks into a surprisingly gorgeous Cork Garland decoration.
For our lovely community aged 65 and over, our Make & Mingle sessions are the perfect antidote to a chilly January afternoon. These free sessions are all about supportive vibes, uplifting chats and making new friends. We’ve got a packed calendar including Painting Shells (16th), crafting Fabric Hearts (22nd) and making a festive Cork Garland (23rd). We’re also stitching a Felt and Bead Brooch (27th) and finishing the month with some lovely Card Making on the 30th. It’s the best way to stay social and inspired without spending a penny!
Don’t forget, most workshops include snacks/refreshments because, let’s be honest, crafting is always better with a treat on the side.

How It Works
**How to Apply for a Workshop**
To sign up for a specific workshop, simply follow the instructions detailed below.
For our own “Create & Connect” workshops and multi-part craft courses, this normally means calling us on 01803 392436 or visiting us in-store to book. We’ll take your details and arrange payment.
For workshops led by external providers, please follow the booking procedures specified. For example, workshops run by Seaview Studios will include a link that takes you to their own booking page. They will take responsibility for managing your booking and taking payment.
Note: Please make sure you can meet the course requirements with regard to:
- Any equipment you may need to provide yourself
- The dates you will need to be available
