February at Torbay Scrapstore: Finishing Old Flings and Finding A New Love
Love is in the air—or is that just the smell of a fresh glue gun heating up? February might be the shortest month, but we’ve packed it tighter than a scrap drawer you can’t quite shut. Whether you’re looking to escape the drizzle or finally tackle that “work in progress” that’s been staring at you since last year, we’ve got a chair and a cuppa waiting for you.

General Workshops & Creative Challenges
We’ve got a smashing lineup to keep your fingers busy and your heart warm. If you’ve got a project that’s been ‘nearly finished’ for so long it’s practically vintage, our Finish it Feb Challenge is your new best friend. It’s a free session for focused time and friendly vibes—just grab a drink from our coffee shop and get stuck in!
For those who fancy learning a new trick, we’re doing everything from Card Making and Scrap Book Club to Macrame Photo Frames and Slow Stitching. If you’re feeling brave, you can try your hand at Needle Felting a spring lamb or crafting a tiny Miniature Sweet Shop. We’ve even got Book Folding and a special Pyrography session with Seaview Studios!
Make & Mingle: For the 65+ Crowd
Our Make & Mingle sessions are the perfect antidote to a chilly February afternoon. These sessions are completely free for anyone aged 65 or over. It’s all about supportive vibes, uplifting chats and making new friends while we dabble in Painting Suncatchers, Decopage, Air Dry Clay and Mindful Doodling. It’s the best way to stay social and inspired without spending a penny!
Most of our general workshops include a barista coffee and cake, because let’s be honest, the real love of our lives is a decent slice of sponge! Spaces disappear faster than a bouquet of roses from a garage forecourt on Valentine’s Day, so be sure to book quickly. How It Works
**How to Apply for a Workshop**
To sign up for a specific workshop, simply follow the instructions detailed below.
For our own “Create & Connect” workshops and multi-part craft courses, this normally means calling us on 01803 392436 or visiting us in-store to book. We’ll take your details and arrange payment.
For workshops led by external providers, please follow the booking procedures specified. For example, workshops run by Seaview Studios will include a link that takes you to their own booking page. They will take responsibility for managing your booking and taking payment.
Note: Please make sure you can meet the course requirements with regard to:
- Any equipment you may need to provide yourself
- The dates you will need to be available

Pyrography Chopping Board Workshop
Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 | 7pm – 9pm
Fancy playing with fire? (The safe, artistic kind, of course!) Join Seaview Studios for a brilliant wood-burning workshop where you’ll master the art of Pyrography. You’ll learn how to handle the tools safely and practice your techniques before scorching your own beautiful design onto a chopping or charcuterie board. It’s hands-on, great fun, and no artistic experience is required—just a steady hand and a love for all things handmade!
All materials provided.
Price: £28 per person.
