How It Works
**How to Apply for a Workshop**
To sign up for a specific workshop, simply follow the instructions detailed below.
For our own “Create & Connect” workshops and multi-part craft courses, this normally means calling us on 01803 392436 or visiting us in-store to book. We’ll take your details and arrange payment.
For workshops led by external providers, please follow the booking procedures specified. For example, workshops run by Seaview Studios will include a link that takes you to their own booking page. They will take responsibility for managing your booking and taking payment.
Note: Please make sure you can meet the course requirements with regard to:
- Any equipment you may need to provide yourself
- The dates you will need to be available

Slate Embossing & Mandala Painting
Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 | 7pm – 9pm
Why not indulge in a double dose of cool, calming crafting. First, you’ll be imprinting lovely designs onto locally found beach slate. Then, watch your creations come to life with shimmering clear & colourful embossing. Next up, it’s time for some mindful artistry as you transform smooth pebbles with your favourite pens or paints. Whether you fancy some mindful mandala magic or letting your imagination run wild with doodles, the possibilities are endless.
All materials provided.

Fused Glass Seaside Wave
Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 | 7pm – 9pm
No prior experience is needed to craft this stunning fused glass seaside wave or curve, measuring around 6 x 23cm. All the materials you need to create your one-of-a-kind seaside-inspired masterpiece will be supplied. Your design will be taken to be fired in Sea View Studio’s own kiln and returned to Torbay Scrapstore about two weeks later for you to collect.
Price: £32 per person.
